Usage instructions under cygwin:

1. Type startx to initialize the X-server

2. Untar the archive file. This will create a directory called freeda-1.2.1. 
   The directory structure looks like
   freeda-1.2.1\
   	- simulator\
		- bitmaps\
		- projects\
		- ifreeda.exe
		- freeda.exe

3. Make sure that ifreeda.exe is exectuted from the simulator directory. 
   Any new projects will be saved under the projects directory. The projects
   directory also contains some examples for reference.
